- This eye-catching necklace feature a Picture Rock accented by a Garnet on a handwoven fine silver chain. The red and grey Picture Rock was mined in Death Valley, California, and looks as if it were painted by an artist...but it was only painted by Mother Nature! This captivating Picture Rock was cut by a lapidary artist in Massachusetts, and the impressive pattern on this stone is completely natural. The rich, deep reds of the Picture Rock are complemented by a naturally shaped garnet crystal that hangs below. Mined in Roxbury, New Hampshire, the garnet has its natural crystalline shape; the angles and color of the crystal have not been altered in any way during the jewelry-making process. This necklace truly showcases the remarkable and mysterious wonders of nature!
The pendant measures 2.25" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the garnet, and just over 1.25" at its widest part. With approximately a 6mm opening, the bail is large enough to accommodate my handwoven fine silver chain. The back of the pendant is stamped with the Beryllina hummingbird logo and "925" (to denote sterling silver). 18" recycled sterling silver chain including handmade clasp.
